“Heroes Partnering With Heroes”

Join Chief Armand La Barge, Toronto Maple Leaf Alumni, YRP Mascots and members of the Markham Waxers Provincial Junior “A” Hockey Club for the second annual York Regional Police Free Community Skate.

York Regional Police recognizes the benefits of families and communities spending quality time together. Poetry and Perception: James Wilson Morrice and Tom Thomson

James Wilson Morrice and Tom Thomson were two outstanding Canadian artists who earned national and international attention for their work; two great painters who could found inspiration in entirely different parts of the world. Thomson's iconic status as a painter of the Canadian landscape is enriched by the mythology and mystery surrounding his death by drowning in his beloved Algonquin Park. Morrice, a Canadian who left the country to live in France, savoured the landscape of the great city of Paris, painting the lively and captivating scenes of city life. This exhibition includes 20 works by each artist, and absolutely captures not only their distinctly different painting styles and subject matter, but also their common passion for the world they captured on canvas. Cinderella

Marquee Productions proudly presents the delightful classic musical, CINDERELLA, featuring song favourites, ‘In My Own Little Corner’ and ‘Ten Minutes Ago’. This fresh and exciting adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's 1957 musical brings adventure, romance, and a miraculous kingdom to the stage. As the timeless fairy tale unfolds, a pumpkin turns into a golden coach, mice turn into horses, a dove becomes a footman, and a famously shabby maid sees her wildest dreams come true.
