Open Ceremonies For Markham Parks
MARKHAM,ON~ September 12, 2007~ Markham continually works to add to it's green space and lead in the environmental field. Residents of two neighbourhoods are celebrating the opening of new parks this weekend.
Leitchcroft Neighbourhood Park
(South Park Road @ Pond Drive, south of Highway 7 , west of Leslie Street)
Sunday, September 16, 11 a.m - 1 p.m
Markham Mayor Frank Scarpiti, Ward 2 Councillor Erin Shapero and Members of Markham Council celebrate the new park with a barbeque and children's activites. This is a zero waste event- blue boxes and green bins only
Swan Lake Park
(Williamson Road & Swan Park Road, north of 16th Avenue, east of Highway 48)
