This exhibition concludes the Gallery's 10th anniversary celebration and is the second biennial contemporary portraiture exhibition by the Varley. Portraiture in this context is also defined as "identity", to include the full breadth of perspectives on Canadian portraiture. The exhibition is presented in partnership with the Ontario Society of Artists, Portrait Society of Canada and Sculptors Society of Canada. The exhibition will be juried by Yves Theoret, Director of Exhibitions and Interpretation for the Portrait Gallery of Canada; Odon Wagner, Owner of the Odon Wagner Gallery; and George Boileau, Sculptor and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Art at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Includes 42 works in comtemporary portraiture.
